About our Owner
In 1996, Laura Chapman co-founded Chapman Business Services. For ten years, Mrs. Chapman has assisted small businesses with their bookkeeping needs.
Mrs. Chapman has 28 years of work experience in organizing small to mid-size service business firms. She has transformed the small employers' financial functions from the stuffed shoebox to a complete financial information system. In addition, she has been previously employed for eight years as a litigation secretary and paralegal. She specializes in:

Mrs. Chapman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music in 1985 from California State University, Northridge. Also, she has completed extension course work in legal research, tort litigation, trial preparation, bookkeeping and payroll. In 1995, Mrs. Chapman completed Dr. Marshall Reddick's course in small business marketing at California State University at Los Angeles. Additionally, she has taken seminars with the IRS and EDD in payroll preparation and reporting as well as labor law updates.
Additionally, Mrs. Chapman is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor™.
